A Day Out With Thomas

We made the 50 mile drive down to New Haven, KY to take a ride with Thomas the Train this past weekend.

This was part of Mark’s Birthday celebration, plus a little family get-a-way before our family of three becomes four.

Besides being extremely hot and having a few soon-to-be-three year old tantrums…..it was a great day.

This is a face of anticipation. This is right before the train started--the only time he sat still all day!

Thomas and all trains for that matter hold a special place in Mark’s heart. Not sure why, but he LOVES them!!!

Every little kid there had their Thomas attire on. Every parent had the camera’s ready.

Mark playing at the train tables

We could barely pull Mark out of this area where the kids were allowed to play with these train tables.

Mark got a Thomas ‘tattoo’, free little gift, got to play with a few trains then we rode on an actual train. Luckily for us we got out of there without having to buy anything extra. Mark is the perfect age for this activity. I don’t think I would recommend it to anyone under three or whose not Thomas obsessed. If you child is older he might get even more enjoyment out of it. But be prepared to stay longer and spend more money.

Hey look I've got a Thomas the Train Tattoo

"Hey! There is a Thomas Tattoo on my arm!!!"

Our train departed at 12:20. On a 90 degree day with a heat index of over 100, I would recommend going a little earlier in the day (plus less of a crowd).  All and all we had a fabulous day!
